Please support my ride for Free Arts NYC
On Sunday May 3rd I’m supporting the Free Arts NYC non-profit organization by riding in the New York City 5 Borough Bicycle Tour. Free Arts NYC provides low-income, homeless, abused and neglected children with a unique combination of creative arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential. They partner with group homes, shelters, schools and community centers in New York City to give these children the oftentimes rare opportunity to express themselves in a supportive environment.
I’ve elected to ride a single speed ‘fixed’ gear bike for the event, which essentially means the 42 miles will be harder than if I rode a conventional road bike.
